Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death. Preventable. Because with proper training and some basic equipment anyone can save a life, even their own.
Accredited by the American College of Surgeons and run according to the recommendations of the Hartford Consensus, Wild Medix now offers the Stop the Bleed short course to the public and rescuers in South Africa.
In true Wild Medix fashion we run the course with additional information and life-saving skills included, using proper training equipment.
The course includes skills such as the use of tourniquets and wound packing with haemostatic (blood clotting) agents.
The course is run over 5 hours and can be offered at any suitable venue. If you have a group please contact us to make training arrangements at a time and place to suit you.
