Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder (L2) is an intermediate course that expands on the topics covered in Level 1 with more detail and more practice time. It is ideal for anyone wanting a solid foundation of first aid knowledge and skills.

You do not need to complete Basic First Aid Responder (L1) first, you can sign up directly on an Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder (L2) course.

Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder (L2) builds on the basic knowledge to also help you deal with less immediately threatening conditions and teaching you skills to apply when emergency services are unavailable or delayed.

  • All topics covered in Level 1 plus:
  • Basic anatomy and physiology
  • Crushing injuries, chest injuries, pelvic and abdominal injuries, eye injuries
  • Environmental illnesses and injuries
  • Heart disease and diabetes
  • Seizures and epilepsy
  • Poisoning, bites and stings
  • Water accidents
  • General content of a first aid kit
